Verity Super Engine Oil Family Track Day

I got an invitation to go to Sepang with the intention of 'test driving' several cars yesterday. Cars on the list were the Ferrari, Nissan GTR, Mini & Integra DC5. The thought of taking either of those cars around SIC without having to be burdened with the responsibilities after a track session was most intriguing. But let's be realistic here... Who in right mind would let you, an average 'Joe', track these cars around SIC just like that? It was the Verity Super Engine Oil Family Track Day, an event to launch their brand into the malaysian market. Still, I was very skeptical and really wanted to see if it were true...

Saturday morning, I made my way to Sepang with Jason Chan a.k.a WaLauWei. Expecting a little event, I was quite surprised to see so many people! All the usual track addicts were there. Bumped into so many familiar faces...

We made it just in time for their product launch...

So what is Verity? Well, Verity is a product of the Sanwa Kasei Kogyo Co., Ltd group, which is a manufacturer of lubricant oils. Having been established since 1947, it's a 60 over year old company.

The word verity actually means - the quality or state of being true or real, which I guess is what their motto for their lubricants are.

"Verity Super Engine Oil is a special blend of engine oil which contains a condensing organic acid derivative called ester and alcohol. Ester is a proven component of synthetic lubricants which can withstand very high temperatures, critical in powering engines made for racing. The Verity series of engine oils also enjoy a distinct advantage over rival products due to its high oxidation stability at high temperatures ensuring better protection of the engine, less likelihood of power drop and longer oil life."

They plan to distribute 15W-50, 10W-40 and 5W-50 oils available in 4, 20 or 200L.

To find out more, visit their company website and click on 'Automotive Lubricants'.

After that, we made our way downstairs and true enough, it was just an open track day. Cars were divided in to groups to be allowed on to the track. Bikers too...

Adrian's Z-Tune replica was there to represent the BNR34's!

This white 360 pitted in after the track took a toll on it. Might have over heated or gearbox locked up...

Of course there were the umbrella girls too...

I got bored after a while and stopped snapping pictures. I really didn't want to track the 10 over year old 550 Maranello that I came in either. I left not long after, stopping a couple of times along the way to say hello and good bye to friends I kept bumping into but fear not, here are a couple pictures from the Advertlets team.

Not short of exotics as you can see... This green R35 was being flagged off to the start of the open track...

Umbrella girls making an appearance...

Plenty of bikers too.

Jennifer looking stunning as usual. She came with her boyfriend Jesson, who is rocking a kitted 360.

Other activities for the family. Clowns were scattered around. There was an area for foot massages, a corner to do manicure...

Rigs from Remus's Motorsport Playground...
