After much thought, I decided to go ahead and install Android version 2.2 also known as Froyo (Frozen Yogurt). I was actually running a modified ROM, CyanogenMod 5.0.6 and it made my Nexus One experience so much more awesome! Moving to the newer Android 2.2 would mean losing CyanogenMod 5.0.6 but with Google claiming 2 to 5 times improvement in terms of speed, who can resist! Not only is it faster, it has a couple more feature upgrades!
Updating was a breeze and before you know it...
Ta da! Android 2.2!
A permanent call and browser button is now seen for easy access.
Camera has now been improved too.
Looky looky what we have here...
I have Flash 10.1!
