Porsche 911 GT3 R

Oh wow...

This now has a bigger displacement of 4L from the six-cylinder boxer engine that now produces 480hp at the rear wheels. All this in 1,200 kg package! Porsche says they put in an anti-lock brake system (ABS), traction control and an electronic throttle with 'blip' function on gearbox down-changes in order to make the new GT3 racer easier for drivers to get used to than its predecessor. So this isn't a car marketed at the experienced professional racers but more of the out of the box amateurs.

Having driven the 911 GT3 RS (my previous posts, 'The one with the ZeroToHundred.Com TT', '997 GT3 RS' and 'Teaser, the GT3 RS'), imagining what this would feel like gives me the shivers! I want one!

Wow. Definately a car to get. With so much power and being lightweight, you do need those electronics! Even professional drivers lap much quicker with traction etc.
