Chinese artist Guo Ming Fu's portraits of elegant, gentle, vivacious or melancholy women transfixed many people. "Beauty is what I pursue in my art, says Guo. Personality and style are innate, conditions that stay with a person despite later experiences. Therefore, the style of an artist is born, not learned. I have never attempted to create my own style, just only followed my instinct to depict images that I like. To me, art's greatest is the enjoyment and freedom I find in it." Guo's paintings are inspired by contemporary classical literature and traditional Chinese culture.
Exhibition runs from the 8th till the 27th of Feb. A small opening will be held on the 25th Feb at 7pm and there will be a lion dance as well as some light refreshments. Come check it out.
